Children make up 48% of Zambia’s population, amounting to approximately 9 million. Despite progress, high levels of poverty and inequality continue to hinder millions of children from reaching their full potential.
This is why we connect people, institutions, and resources to help children grow up healthy, educated, skilled and safe. Our programs aim to reach 2.1 million children and their family members every year

In Chongwe District, Albertina, a sponsored youth and peer educator with ChildFund, is standing up for girls’ rights and leading efforts to end child marriage. Drawing from her own experiences, she supports girls to stay in school, speak out against harmful practices, and make informed choices about their futures.
Unlocking a child’s full potential begins with meeting their holistic needs. That’s why we take a whole-child approach, focusing on health, education, skills, and safety, to support children from early years to young adulthood. We work with children, youth, families, communities and governments to drive lasting change. Our programs are proven and scalable, centering communities as leaders and change-makers. In the 21 districts where we are already making a difference, we are creating models that can be replicated across all of Zambia.
