Gloria Mubita is Assistant Commissioner of Police and National Coordinator for the Victim Support Unit under the Zambia Police Service. With 18 years of dedicated service to survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), she is a leading advisor on GBV and child protection.
She holds a Bachelor’s in Education from the University of Zambia and a Master’s in Women’s Law from the University of Zimbabwe. A certified trainer in human trafficking, child protection, and GBV prevention, Ms. Mubita is an alumna of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program on Combating Trafficking in Persons.
She has led the development of key national training manuals and serves on national and international bodies, including GAAMAC Africa, the GBV Technical Working Group, the Child Justice Forum, and the Police Scotland–Zambia Police partnership. She is also a Board Member of ChildFund International and Chairperson of the Safe Sport Commission under the National Olympic Committee of Zambia.
Ms. Mubita’s work has earned her several honors, including the Zambia Police Medal for Meritorious Service and international recognition for her advocacy in human and women’s rights.
