Tashar Simasiku
Snr. Education Specialist
Tashar brings over 15 years of progressive experience in Zambia’s education and development sector, with a strong track record in programme management, policy development, and implementation. She has supported both national and international education initiatives through her work with organizations such as VVOB Education for Development and Reformed Open Community Schools.
Her expertise is anchored in a systems-strengthening approach, with a focus on enhancing collaboration between stakeholders, including sustained engagement with the Ministry of Education. She actively contributes to national platforms that aim to improve access to quality education services.
In addition to her technical and managerial competencies, Tashar is recognized as a thought leader in the sector. She is a member of the Zambia National Education Coalition, serves on the Board of the Zambia National Early Childhood Network, and holds fellowships with the Early Childhood Development Action Network (ECDAN) and the African Civic Engagement Academy. She currently serves as a Fellow Mentor at ECDAN and as Chairperson of the Ministry of Education’s Project Coordinating Committee (PCC), where she plays a key role in strategic sector planning and coordination.
